Mission

To create laughter, dance, tears and expression through heartfelt stomps and explosive screams of joy and flames.

To release everything that needs to be let out so we can live free and wild and true. Relief begins from a place of loud compassion for both ourselves and those around us.

Very close to Jo’s heart is a desire to help those who are sore, either physically or mentally, through sharing music, art and words or offering healing practices and techniques.

Most importantly, she wants to help people feel they are not alone. We are all together. Kicking and screaming to be ourselves. To be seen.

Ethos

All of Jo’s works address wider social, political or societal issues. This has been influenced by her upbringing in a mining family with Romani heritage. There was always a hint of utopian hope in the air as she grew up. Always a battle for the rights of the every-day person, challenging oppression and greed. This has influenced Jo’s work and approach in innumerable ways.

Peace

Peace is worth fighting for as surely as war achieves nothing

Certainly not peace

Words are our weapon

The soul way to lampoon hearts to the depths required for change

Is words
