Yoga, Meditation and Sound
Jo’s yoga journey…
Jo is a yoga teacher, musician, writer and artist based in Glasgow, Scotland. She started practicing yoga over 15 years ago primarily as a means to alleviate chronic back pain. As her practice has grown, yoga has done so much more than just help her cope with pain. It has changed her life. Jo has developed her style of yoga over 20 years of practice, exploring her own Celtic heritage while honouring the cultural roots of the path of yoga.
Yoga has allowed Jo to manage health problems. It has allowed her to build a fuller understanding of who she is. It has helped her write and be creative. Yoga has encouraged her to trust herself and listen to her intuition and it has built strength, both physically and mentally. Her practice has given her pride in her femininity and has encouraged her to appreciating every person just as they are, including herself. Jo would love to pass some of this onto others and fuel every fire till it roars!
Classes, workshops and events
Jo offers online and in-person classes, workshops and events that are accessible to all. The focus is on connecting within, relaxing the nervous system and inspiring the joy of creativity in our everyday being while invigorating the body.
Her classes offer a range of energetic, philosophical and anatomical themes as well as introducing other areas of Jo’s practice like sound, drumming, chanting, poetry and free movement. Jo brings focus to the meditative aspects of practicing yoga using breathwork, visual and auditory techniques as well as movement to access our deepest self.
